The Iraqi Observatory for Press Freedoms reported that two journalists were injured on Friday in the Old City of Mosul.
A correspondent for Beladi satellite channel and a cameraman were injured by gunfire from ISIS terrorists, the Observatory said in a statement.
The two journalists were covering the ongoing battles in the right bank of Mosul when ISIS terrorists opened fire at their vehicle, it further noted.
One of the two journalists sustained a fatal injury and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
