Cell phone network companies connected on Friday morning its mobile towers to bring back communications and internet to Mosul neighborhoods, local residents told The Baghdad Post.
The residents asserted that communication networks are beginning to reach ISIS-controlled neighborhoods in Mosul.
ISIS terrorists responded to this move by raiding civilian houses in their territories to confiscate cell phones to prevent anyone from tipping the Iraqi security forces of the group's whereabouts.
An offensive to retake the right bank of Mosul has begun on the 19th of February with noticeable advancement on the southwestern neighborhoods of the city.
