One civilians has been killed when gunmen opened fire in central Kirkuk, a security source said Monday.
The gunmen have opened fire at a local resident this evening near Shahid Ali Military Bridge in the center of the city, he added, indicating the victim died immediately after being gunned down.
Authorities transferred the body of the deceased to the forensic medicine department, opening an investigation into the incident.
