Eight Iraqi army personnel, including a brigadier general, were killed and others injured in clashes with Daesh militants in Al-Muthanna district on the left coast of Mosul city, a government source said on Sunday.
The clashes, in which the eight Iraqi army forces were murdered, were preceded by an attack launched by the Daesh terrorist group, the source added.
