A total of 18 people were killed, including seven security forces, while 13 others were injured when two booby-trapped cars exploded in one of the districts liberated from Daesh terrorist group in eastern Mosul.
In statements, Mosul Operations Brigadier-General Mohamed al Jubour said on Tuesday that the explosions were targeting Iraqi forces and civilians gathering in a market in Mosul city.
Meanwhile, Iraqi forces launched search campaigns to find any expected bombs in the area.
