Iraqi activists and journalists organized on Tuesday a rally at the Tahrir Square in Baghdad in protest at the kidnapping of Iraqi reporter Afrah Shawqi.
They blamed poor security measures for the kidnapping of the Iraqi reporter and called for arresting abductors as soon as possible.
Iraqi President Fuad Masum directed all security bodies to exert more efforts and take all necessary measures to free the kidnapped Journalist Afrah Shawqi.
Afrah Shawqi, a reporter for al-Aalem al-Jadeed online newspaper, was kidnapped by an unknown armed group from her residence in Saydiya, Baghdad earlier in the day.
