Turkmen in Daquq, Kirkuk Governorate have staged a strike in front of polling stations in the city against rigging their votes, eyewitnesses told the Baghdad Post by phone.
About 24 million Iraqis were eligible to vote in the Saturday elections. But the voter turnout was as low as 32 percent, according to observers.
A lot of Iraqi activists have expressed concern that their votes would be rigged for particular electoral lists, most notably the Iran-allied militias.
They warned the situation in Kirkuk would be worse unless all boxes were counted manually.
Activists and observers confirmed that the electronic system was hacked.
