The Iraqi security forces have launched a major operation in southeastern Ramadi, Anbar Operations Command said on Tuesday.
In a press statement, Gen. Mohamed al-Falahi asserted that this operation aims to oust ISIS terrorists at al-Rahaliya, Wadi Samil, Abu al-Jeir and Wadi al-Kazf in southeastern Ramadi.
He added that the Iraqi Army's 1st Infantry Squad, the 10th squad, Anbar's Police forces and Tribal Hashid are participating in this operation, supported by the Iraqi air forces.
Falahi further stated that the forces have uncovered 40 explosive devices and ISIS' war remnants in the operation.
He noted that they also uncovered many weapons in ISIS' hideouts.
