Diyala police
department announced on Monday that a military operation had been launched to
neutralize several ISIS cells in three areas east of the governorate.
A team of security forces affiliated to Diyala police department has launched a military operation to hunt down ISIS cells in al-Nada area and two other regions situated 55 Km east of Baqubah, according to a statement by Diyala police.
This operation is aimed at tracking the sleeper cells of the terrorist group and denying them any safe havens in these areas, the statement added.
Earlier, Diyala operations forces launched several military operations to hunt down ISIS cells in a number of areas across the governorate.
