Unrest sweeps several Iraqi cities, several explosive seized

Iraqi security forces on Monday announced it found a cache of explosive devices in al-Karmah district in Anbar province.

Security forces in Baghdad and intelligence personnel in coordination with the army forces found and dismantled ten explosive devices in al-Karmah district, a statement added. 

A security source in Kirkuk said that five IMIS terrorists were killed by an armed attack in southwestern Kirkuk.

They were ambushed by ISIS terrorists in Hawija district, the source added.

This comes as Baghdad Operations Command announced on Monday the discovery of explosives and the arrest of a number of wanted criminals.

Security forces executed a search in al-Khudair neighborhood south of Baghdad, in which it found remnants of war left by ISIS terror group, a statement read out.

Five explosive devices and mortar shells were seized in the campaign. 

 

Baghdad and other Iraqi cities are witnessing a state of insecurity and chaos as terror groups like ISIS and IMIS are targeting innocent civilians.

 

After the declaration of ISIS defeat in December, Iraqi security forces swept several Iraqi cities, purging them from ISIS remnants.
