Speaker of the Iraqi parliament Selim al-Jabouri has questioned the fairness of the coming parliamentary elections that will be held next May.
He cited the problem of the internally displaced persons (IDPs), saying thousands of them will not be able to cast votes.
In a press statement, he said the parliament sent a letter to the Electoral Commission demanding that polling stations be opened for the displaced persons whether inside and outside their provinces.
"There is a sort of response to our demands. But we are still worried about the integrity of the elections," he noted.
