Acting Minister of Planning Salman al-Jumaili has invited Egyptian companies and businessmen to invest in Iraq and actively take part in Iraq’s reconstruction conference, to be held in Kuwait on February 12.
During a meeting with an Egyptian delegation, led by Ibrahim Mahlab, Presidential Assistant for National and Strategic Projects, during its visit in Iraq, al-Jumaili said there are enormous investment opportunities in Iraq.
Jumaili also stressed the importance of cooperation between businessmen from the two countries to boost bilateral ties.
The rehabilitation of the land route between Iraq and Jordan will help increase trade volume between Iraq and Egypt, he added.
Meanwhile, Mahlab reaffirmed Egypt’s keenness on enhancing bilateral relations, adding that Egypt is ready to contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq.
