Iraqi security forces repel White Flags terrorists in Tuz Khurmatu

Iraqi security forces have repelled White Flags terrorists in Tuz Khurmatu city in Salahuddin governorate, a security source said on Thursday.

He added that after significant clashes with heavy arms, the terrorists fled the city. 

The source asserted that there were no immediate reports on casualties. 

White Flags militia is a terrorist group that was established 20 years ago. Most of its members are affiliated with Ansar al-Islam group, headed by Mullah Krekar, who has been arrested on terrorism charges. These terrorists have been spotted on the outskirts of Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatu districts.

 

The Iraqi cities have been witnessing a state of insecurity and chaos as terror attacks target civilians. Terrorist groups like ISIS and others are targeting those cities by booby-trapped cars, suicide bombs and other terrorist means in which the residents are feeling insecure and furious.
