Iraqi PM Haidar al-Abadi said Sunday his government would continue to secure Iraqi borders to thwart any terrorist infiltration.
This came in a meeting with the Commander of USCENTCOM General Joseph Votel in Baghdad.
During the meeting, both sides discussed cooperation between the two countries and the regional situation and the final elimination of terrorism, Abadi's office announced.
Abadi stressed his government would work to secure its borders to boost the victory they achieved and continue reconstruction work.
In early July, Abadi announced the full recapture of Iraqi territories from ISIS.
ISIS seized large swathes from Iraq and Syria in mid-2014.
US gave air covering for Iraqi forces operations against the terror group.
Votel reiterated his country's full support for Iraq in all fields.
