Three Iranian intelligence personnel have been killed in clashes with protesters in western Iran, security sources told the Baghdad Post Wednesday.
Iranian major cities are now being hit by sweeping anti-government protests.
The protests that
erupted Thursday saw millions of Iranians
in cities of Rasht, Kermanshah, Isfahan, Hamadan and elsewhere opposing economic problems
and clerical rule in the Shiite country.
At least 22 protesters have been killed and another hundreds injured, most of them seriously.
