Local authorities in Dhi Qar on Monday said they received bodies of two civilians who had died in Camp Speicher massacre.
A senior security official in the district of Qalat Sakar Yasser al-Moussawi said the two bodies were handed over to the local authorities on Sunday.
He also added the bodies were handed over to their relatives, who managed to identify them after undergoing DNA tests.
The local council of the district will meet the relatives of the victims after the end of consolation ceremonials to discuss with them the way to get compensations from the federal government.
