Dahuk ex-governor sentenced 10 years in prison over corruption charges

Iraqi court sentences former governor of Dahuk to 10 years prison
The former governor of Kurdistan's Dahuk, Tamar Fattah Ramadhan, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in absentia by an Iraqi court over corruption charges.

In a statement, the Iraqi integrity commission said that the former governor didn’t provide the public money back after leaving his position.

The verdict included an arrest warrant against the governor, the seizure of his property, and giving the aggrieved person the right to seek compensation, the statement added.

Ramadhan ended his duty as Governor of Dahuk in June 2014.
