The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) mobilized several Afghan militias in Kirkuk governorate to control its oil wells, a well informed source said on Thursday.
Earlier, the IRGC and the Iranian Militias in Iraq and Syria (IMIS) led by Quds Force leader Qasem Soleimani mobilized their forces throughout Kirkuk following Pehsmerga's withdrawal from the governorate.
Peshmerga forces were withdrawn from Kirkuk governorate came after the Iraqi forces were deployed in the governorate, following negotiations with the Baghdad government and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
