IMIS’ Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq raids houses of Sunni Kurds in Kirkuk

Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq terrorists

Terrorists of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq (AAH), a faction affiliated to the Iranian Militias in Iraq and Syria (IMIS), raided on Wednesday houses of Sunnis in Kirkuk and looted their property.
This comes after IMIS terrorists have controlled the city, forcing residents to flee and head towards Peshmerga-held districts.
Earlier on Wednesday, it was reported that IMIS burnt a grocery market in Kirkuk's Domez district.
On the same day, sources said that IMIS destroyed houses of citizens, who took part in Kurdistan Region’s independence referendum held last month, in Kirkuk Governorate.
This comes as the crisis in Kirkuk has escalated. Peshmerga forces have been fending off attacks launched by the Iraqi forces, backed by IMIS, since Sunday night.
Tensions between the two sides over the future of Kurdistan have been high since the Kurds voted for independence in a September referendum.
The oil-rich Kirkuk Governorate has emerged as a flashpoint in the crisis as it is claimed by both sides.
