Security forces detect new activity for ISIS terrorists in Mosul
Iraqi security forces on Thursday said that they have detected new activities for ISIS terrorists in Mosul city.

In a statement, Lieutenant-Colonel Abdul Salam al-Jabouri said that remnants of ISIS terrorists, who survived the military offensive in Mosul, were detected in the marshlands area alongside the Tigris River.

"Some of ISIS terrorists, who disappeared from the southern areas in Mosul and we thought they are dead, have been detected while sending threats to the Tribal Mobilization leaders via SMS".

He added that Iraqi warplanes on Wednesday had carried out an air raid to target their hideouts which might be ISIS Achilles heel to launch terrorist attacks on security forces and civilians.

On July, US-backed Iraqi army had fully liberated Mosul city from ISIS terror group after it took control over the city, its last major stronghold in Iraq, in 2014.
