ISIS terrorists executed 10 civilians in Hawija outskirts for cooperating with Iraq security forces, an official source from Kirkuk government said on Thursday.
In a press statement, the source said that ISIS terrorists raided Sadr al-Nahr village in Hawija and killed these civilians, noting that they also executed several others in the last couple days.
The source asserted that these acts increased in the recent period, as the terror group is becoming increasingly desperate after its continuous defeats in Iraq.
He added that over 400 ISIS families have escaped Hawija ahead of the operations to retake the town.
This comes as Iraqi security forces fully recaptured Nineveh governorate which was considered to be ISIS' main stronghold in Iraq and are currently sweeping Iraq to oust ISIS remnants from them.
