Iraqi Air Force has killed 120 ISIS terrorists in Akashat town in northwestern al-Qa'im city, Anbar Governorate, security sources said Sunday.
Five ISIS dangerous commanders were among those killed, including Head of ISIS' so-called Tabouk Brigade, the sources added.
In a statement, Air Force said, "The airstrikes that hit 29 ISIS targets in Akashat killed 120 terrorists including five commanders".
A military operation to oust ISIS from districts in Anbar began on Saturday in Akashat. Later in the day, Iraqi forces declared the town was recaptured.
The operation will extend to towns of Annah, Rawa and Qa'im.
US aircrafts are giving support to the operation.
