Iran conspired to surrender Mosul to ISIS terrorists, in order to gain a foothold for its Shiite militia puppets to occupy the city, former Nineveh governor Atheel al-Nujaifi said on Sunday.
In a radio interview, Nujaifi asserted that Mosul's destruction is unprecedented, as Nouri al-Maliki's former government surrendered Mosul to ISIS terrorists and used this as a mean to occupy the Sunni majority city with Shiite militias.
Nujaifi revealed that the civilian casualties in the city is massive, as he estimated that over 40,000 people were killed in the clashes between ISIS and Iraqi joint forces.
He also noted that the Iraqi judicial system barred him from entering Mosul.
Nujaifi further added that his 3,500 strong Tribal Sunni Mobilization would have produced a better outcome from the battles, as they belong to the city, know its people and its location.
