Tal Afar's liberation operation will be qualitative and will be conducted in record time, Rapid Response Force spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Amir al-Mohammedawi, revealed on Sunday.
Al-Mohammedawi said that preparations are under way to make plans to initiate the military operations for Tal Afar soon.
Al-Mohammedawi also noted that there is constant coordination between the other forces that will take part in the operation.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Haider al Abadi announced that Iranian Militias in Iraq and Syria (IMIS) will participate in the battle aiming to retake Tal Afar west of Mosul city from ISIS terrorists.
Earlier, Abadi has announced that the Iraqi government has set 'special' plans to retake Tal Afar city from ISIS terrorists.
Tal Afar is a city located 63 km west of Mosul. The city, mostly populated by Turkmen, is a significant ISIS stronghold in Nineveh Governorate.
