Over 18,000 injury cases have been recorded since the beginning of Mosul operations, while 800 deaths have been reported since March, Nineveh Health Directorate chief Laith abd al-Raziq said on Saturday.
He added that from the 18,000 people, 13,000 were civilians, while the rest were from Iraqi security forces.
He asserted that the health directorate can't currently determine the numbers of casualties, as the forensic department has been re-opened in the city since March.
He further added that from the 800 dead people, 222 are still unidentified, have been buried, while over 60 bodies are being held for their relatives to identify them.
He also said that the governorate's medical staffs are trying their best to present rescuing, medicinal efforts, as nearly all of Mosul's hospital have been severely damaged or destroyed.
