Several Iranian cities witnessed funerals for 14 Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) terrorists, who were killed in clashes in Syria.
The militants were from Afghanistan and were buried in Khorasan, Qom, Tehran, Alborz, Fars and Isfahan, local press sources said.
The sources revealed that the militants belonged to Fatimiyoun brigade – an affiliate with IRGC – which recruits Afghani nationals.
Fatemiyoun brigades, is an Afghan Shiite militia formed in 2014 to fight in Syria on the side of the government. It is funded, trained, and equipped by the IRGC and fights under the command of Iranian officers.
