Up to 13 Tribal Crowd militiamen have been killed and 14 others have been injured after ISIS terrorists, including suicide bombers, launched an attack on Imam Gharbi village in al-Qayara neighborhood located in southern Mosul, a security source revealed on Wednesday.
The source said that a special unit of Nineveh Operations Command, backed by Iraqi helicopters, is besieging Imam Gharbi village to recapture it and expel ISIS terrorists who infiltrated into it.
Earlier on Wednesday, Commander of Federal Police forces Gen. Raid Shaker Jawdat said that up to 61 terrorists affiliated with ISIS have been killed in the right bank of Mosul.
This comes as part of a wide-scale military operation launched by US-backed Iraqi forces to oust ISIS terrorists from Mosul city, their last major stronghold.
