Qatar Foreign Affairs Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani denied on Saturday meeting with Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force leader Qassem Soleimani in Iraq.
In an interview with Russian press, the minister said that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders didn't give Qatar the chance to deny any accusations.
He noted that the US administration always praised Qatar's counter terrorism efforts.
Qatar has positive relations with Iran as it's a neighboring country, the minister asserted, noting that he didn't meet with Qassem Soleimani in Iraq.
He further added that GCC states were a center for stabilization in the region, noting that recent crisis would destabilize the Middle East.
On Monday, Saudi Arabia along with seven Arab states severed diplomatic ties with Qatar allegedly over supporting terrorism and building powerful ties with Iran.
