Russia says 'no strikes' near Syria's Khan Sheikhun in Idlib

The Russian Defense Ministry denied in a statement on Tuesday claims that its jets were involved in the bombing of Khan Shaykhun in northwestern Syria, Sputnik said.

"Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft did not conduct any strikes in the vicinity of the Khan Shaykhun village in Idlib province," the ministry said following media reports alleging that either Syrian government or Russian jets carried out the attack.

At least 90 people suffocated to death, among them were children, after an aerial bombardment hit Khan Shaikhoun city in Idlib Province, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Civil defense center of Idlib also confirmed numerous injuries from civil defense team in the city.
