Syria's vacant seat at 28th Arab Summit catches eyes of TV channels

Syrian vacant seat in the Arab League

The vacant seat of the Arabian Republic of Syria appeared several times during the televised broadcast of the 28th Arab Summit in Jordan.

Many Arab countries have urged several times to grant the seat of Syria in the Arab League to the Syrian opposition, but the move has been denied.

The Summit sessions kicked off earlier in the day under the slogan of "Management of water systems in fragile environments in the Arab region".

The 28th ordinary session of the Arab summit kicked off Wednesday at the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Centre in the Dead Sea area with kings, presidents, princes and heads of Arab delegations participation. 

Attending the meeting were the United Nations Secretary General, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, President of the Arab Parliament, Russian president's personal envoy, personal envoy of the US president and the envoy of the French government.
