30 civilians killed, scores injured in random shelling on western Mosul

At least 30 civilians were killed and scores of others were injured on Saturday in a random shooting on al-Jawsaq district in western Mosul, the main city of Nineveh governorate, a well-informed source told The Baghdad Post.

The source said Iraqi army tanks fired mortar shells on al-Jawsaq residential district in western the embattled city of Mosul.

The source noted that the shelling claimed the lives of at least 30 civilians along with scores of injuries, adding that the death toll is expected to rise as several houses collapsed on the citizens and they are still trapped under the rubble.
