Allawi urges Arabs to not abandon Iraq, leave it to Iran

Iraq's Vice President Ayad Allawi

Iraq's Vice President Ayad Allawi on Sunday called on Arabs to not leave Iraq alone in order to prevent Iran from looting Iraq.

In statements, he added that the post-ISIS era will be Iraq's last chance. He also described Iraq as "cripple".

In a letter to the Unite Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Allawi said that the UN office in Iraq is unfair, adding that Iraqi people agree with him in this issue.

ISIS is currently being eliminated, he asserted, adding that it has to be politically defeated and that will take more time. He said that the chance of the post-ISIS era has to be grasped in order to save Baghdad and the whole region from destruction.

He said that he means by Iraq's only chance a total reform to the current situation and re-form the political arena in which all walks of life join the political process without any so-called quota system, sectarianism and exclusion.
