Two female hostages freed in Baghdad

Iraqi security forces on Sunday set free two women who were held hostages by kidnappers at al-Saadoun-al-Arsaat neighborhood in central Baghdad.

Baghdad operations said in a statement that a security force from the Federal Police's first squad freed two women hostages at al-Saadoun-al-Arsaat area and apprehended the kidnappers.

Security uncertainty in Baghdad has recently been on the rise, with series of kidnappings, killing, blasts and assassinations have been reported since the terrorist elements of ISIS took control of several major cities in Iraq in 2014.
