Intl. watchdog accuses IMIS militias of destroying Sunni homes in Mosul

IMIS terror
Human Rights Watch (HRW) on Thursday accused the terrorist organization of IMIS, trained by Iran, of destroying homes of hundreds of Sunni Arabs in Mosul.

Spokesman for IMIS denied the accusations, asserting that 'extremists' are behind this destruction.

The international watchdog confirmed that IMIS terrorists destroyed 345 homes in western parts of Mosul after recapturing it from ISIS.

The demolitions took place in November 2016 and February 2017 with no apparent military necessity. And these acts may amount to be 'war crimes', the HRW said in a statement.

These subversive acts will prevent the families who fled their homes due to the ongoing fighting from returning to their villages, Lama Fakih, deputy director of HRW Middle East Division said.
