ISIS terrorist group on Wednesday executed 8 civilians in the province of Kirkuk on accusations of having links to security forces, a police officer said.
Major Hamid Al-Obaidi cited intelligence sources as saying that the terror group shot the eight civilians dead in Al-Hwaijah area southwest of Kirkuk.
The victims were executed after ISIS condemned them in 'sharia courts' on charges of collaborating against the terror group.
ISIS is still controlling some parts of Kirkuk including Al-Hwaijah, while the Peshmerga seizes the rest of the city.
Over the past months, ISIS waged violent terror attacks from Kirkuk and the neighboring province of Diali.
After recapturing Mosul, the Iraqi forces will launch attacks on the ninor hotbeds of the terror group in the northern and western parts of the country, officials stated.
