Vice president Eyad Allawi on Friday asserted that the security deterioration and unemployment drove the Iraqi youth to immigrate to Europe, the US and Australia.
Allawi noted that there should be a joint action to rectify this situation.
As he attended a symposium discussing the role of youth in the post-ISIS era, he stressed the necessity of empowering youth to participate in the political life, as it affects their present and future.
The vice president yet stated this goal could be achieved through holding free and fair election that reflects genuine balance amongst political trends.
He also reiterated his rejection to the political sectarianism, quotas, exclusion and marginalization which led the country to this chaotic situation.
