The Iraqi Human Rights Society on Wednesday issued its annual report concerning the number of fatalities and casualties in Iraq in 2016.
The report said that 12,726 civilians and forces were killed while 17,260 others were injured in 2016 due to terror attacks.
Baghdad, Nineveh and Anbar are the most affected governorates from the terror attacks.
October is considered the most bloody month in 2016 in which 1,834 Iraqis were killed while more than 2,000 others were injured.
The number of fatalities and casualties increased after the launching of the battle for Mosul that aims to regain the city from ISIS terrorist group, the report further said.
