The United States Embassy in Libya emphasized citizens' right anywhere in Libya to engage in peaceful protest.
"In calls w/ Libyan leaders, Amb. Norland assessed progress in operationalizing ceasefire & oil production statements, shared U.S. concern over alarming electricity shortages," the embassy added.
