The volume of trade between Iraq and Iran has risen in 2016, IRNA News said in an economic report.
The report added that the volume of trade exchange has risen in 2016 to reach USD 6.5 billion although Iraq decreased its imports by 10 percent for the second year in row.
The volume of trade between Iraq and Iran is rising although Iraq's budget was reduced from USD 100 billion in 2014 to USD 45 billion in 2015 due to the drop in oil prices, the report added.
The report also pointed out that the number of Iraqi tourists to Iran rose in 2015 to reach 2.5 million tourists.
The volume of trade between Iraq and Iran is expected to increase in 2017 although Iraq has announced that its budge in 2017 will only reach USD 70 billion.
