The Libyan National Army (LNA) announced on Tuesday evening that it has taken full control of Al-Wifaq's militias positions in the Yarmouk blenders, south of Tripoli.
The Military Information Division of the Libyan Army, through its account on Facebook that the control of the sites was after fierce battles fought by military units throughout the day.
The Military Information Division published a video showing the areas controlled by the armed forces passing through the 2nd Brigade Infantry Camp and the Missile Camp to Yarmouk Strategic Camp.
An army commentator said during the video that the armed forces had secured the fully controlled areas.
The video showed a number of bodies of al-Wefaq forces dumped in Yarmouk camp left by militias and fled during armed confrontations.
Local sources said that a warplane belonging to the Libyan Air Force carried out raids on a site belonging to the militias Al-Wifaq in al- Ruwaisat area in Misrata city.
“The shelling targeted a headquarters of heavy artillery and a warehouse for al-Wifaq militias,” the source added.
