Babylon Governor Karrar Abadi said that the audio recording of the president of the provincial council is real, and not fabricated.
Abadi has asked the prime minister to conduct an urgent investigation into the circumstances of the audio recording concerning the lives of the demonstrators.
He posted on his Facebook page, supporting the demands of peaceful demonstrators, stressing the rejection of any encroachment on their lives or personal security.

The Higher Ministerial Committee to investigate the events of the recent demonstrations have issued direct guidance to its subcommittee in Babylon, on the leaked audio recording of the President of the provincial council.
Nuri Sabah al-Dulaimi, head of the Higher Ministerial Committee for Investigating the Events, directed the sub-committee of the province of Babylon to immediately go to the province to investigate the leaked audio recording of the head of the Babylon provincial council, the committee said in a statement.
