The Iraqi designer, Ahmed Shawqi has made the Joker character on several pictures taken during recent Iraqi demonstrations calling for the overthrow of the government, improving services and fighting corruption, which have been popular on social media.
The designs show "Joker" in flames in one of the pictures, and in the other, escaping from bullets and gas bombs.
Another design made the Joker dancing among the protesters, showing his indifference to the repression of Iraqi security forces.
In the film, the Joker represents a character who has suffered from economic and social marginalization, rebelled against the regime and opposed existing power.
