Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali Al-Hakim received a telephone call from his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry on Monday.
The two ministers discussed the recent developments in the Arab Region, especially issues of common concern between Cairo and Baghdad.
During the call, they discussed the most important issues, stressing on the importance of activating the common interests between the two countries.
The two sides agreed to continue consultations and bilateral coordination on Arab and regional issues, in order to find political approaches that contribute to defusing tensions and maintaining the security of the region.
For his part, Shoukry confirmed keenness on cooperating between both sides regarding all issues of common interest.
