Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim held a meeting with his Finnish counterpart Timo Sweeney on Thursday.
discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Finland and mechanisms to foster
them, in addition to regional and international files of common concern.
Al-Hakim stressed, according to a ministry statement, that Iraq is keen to develop balanced relations with the European country based on common interests to face challenges facing the world.
The two ministers stressed the importance of combating terrorism and extremism in order to achieve security and stability of the two countries.
They also called for concerted international efforts to confront this danger with a view to achieving development and prosperity for the whole world peoples
