Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi Parliament have agreed on forming a joint committee to work on a reform bill, a lawmaker said.
In remarks on Sunday, Kurdish MP Zana Mala Khalid said the committee will include officials from special ministries and heads of political factions at the parliament.
The talks, according to Khalid, will focus on the previous context of the bill of reforms, especially the subject of public servants' pensions.
The bill had already been proposed during the previous cabinet, but it failed to be passed due to the political disputes among the factions. However, the new KRG is making efforts to do reforms in various fields, and the matter has already been discussed during a meeting of the council of ministers.
