MP Kadhim al-Sayadi said on Wednesday that the current government failed to implement its program during its first year.
Sayadi further said that the government failed in particular to address the issue of diversifying sources of income and finance or improving the productive capacities of factories.
The government also failed to invest in these factories or privatize them to be able to contain the increasing number of unemployed people or to increase the productivity of these factories,” Sayadi said in press remarks.
He further pointed out that it is also necessary to amend all the issues facing the Ministry of Industry, stressing that the ministry only achieved three lucrative deals out of hundreds.
The MP also called upon the parliament and the government to cooperate and boost efforts to protect local production and encourage investments into public factories during the incoming year.
