al-Saneed, a Victory Alliance leader, has revealed that an
anticipated cabinet reshuffle is expected soon in response to political blocs' pressures on
Prime Minister Adil Abd al-Mahdi.
“The reshuffle will include only two ministers,” Saneed said in remarks. “The reshuffle will be announced in August and finally determined during the next legislative session of the parliament.”
The reshuffle, according to Saneed, will be through investigations at the parliament. He went on saying that “the coming days will see new political blocs that will support the changes within the government.”
Iraq’s parliament has referred requests for investigating six ministers to one of the parliament’s authorities to check their constitutionality as well as the evidence supporting them. The investigation sessions are expected to be held soon.
