Iraq's President Barham Salih on Wednesday stressed the need to adopt the language of constructive dialogue to resolve the dispute between the federal and Kurdish governments in light of the constitution.
During his meeting with the new Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and his accompanying delegation in Baghdad, Salih stressed the importance of coordinating common visions and serving the national interest and justice. He also expressed his confidence in achieving consensus between the two major Kurdish political parties to improve the level of relations and overcome obstacles to provide services to the Iraqi people.
For his part, Barzani expressed his government's desire to intensify dialogue with the federal government in Baghdad and resort to the constitution to ensure the realization of common interests and strengthen brotherly relations.
The meeting also tackled the political developments at both regional and international levels.
