Iraqi officials have announced extinguishing a fire that
broke out on Tuesday at a Basra seaport for exporting oil, adding that shipping has resumed.
In remarks, a security source said firefighters controlled the fire, which broke out at al-Khafka seaport.
Over 100 employees were evacuated, the source said on condition of anonymity. No Casualties were reported.
Shipping was resumed after being halted for a short time, sources and officials from the seaport and the Basra oil company said.
The fire broke out in a residential area, where employers of the seaport live. No damages were caused at the oil infrastructure.
