Political expert Wathiq al-Hashimi has indicated mobilization to topple the government of Adil Abdul-Mahdi, amid political variables and ongoing conflict over positions.
In remarks, Hashimi, head of the Iraqi Group for Strategic Studies said “political mobilization takes place against Adil Abdul-Mahdi’s government after the scheduled period set to carry out his program has passed without achieving anything.”
He went on saying that “Al-Islah and Al-Bina were disbanded as each of Saairun and Fatah made an agreement. Thus, all of Al-Hikma, Al-Nasr and State of the Law will have to take the opponent side after the positions were divided among the two blocs.”
The coming phase, according to Hashimi, “will witness further conflicts and protests due to the poor services and not fulfilling the promises of improvement the national system.”
